The nationally syndicated FM/Net radio broadcast 'Rock
Solid Pressure' featuring the dynamic duo of the airwaves 'J-Rock and Patty The
Radio Girl' are currently gearing up once again for their annual industry
Showcase on Saturday Sept 13th 2008. For those of you that remember the
spectacle from last year, the team promises a bigger extrvaganza for this year's
event. There will also be a VIP industry 'Pre-Party' on Friday Sept 12th. The
high profile DJ team will unleash the 20 best unsigned bands in America for an
all day concert event for the music industry. The Showcase will return to
Bourbon Street in New Port Richey Florida, so start booking flights.
Rock Solid Pressure exploded onto the scene in a small Connecticut radio station
in 2002. It originated as a revolt to the fluffy reality music TV shows. The
broadcast quickly became an underground hit in a stagnant and suffering national
music scene. Live Showcases for Sony Records quickly followed and the rest is
scripted in rock music history. The multi sponsored show moved to Central
Florida and now commands an immense loyal following through FM and internet
syndication. The Rock Solid Pressure Showcase is no longer an exclusive event
for members of Sony Records A&R. Many new labels and industry insiders have
jumped on the panels through the years, and a dynasty has been forged for the
unsigned music community with these franchise events.
The Showcase is always heralded by the media as being more attentive than SXSW,
NAMM, and other events of this magnatude. The difference is there is no 'pay to
play' label placement or filler bands who 'know the right connections'. It's all
about the music and serious networking. The labels and industry insiders know
they have a job to do on the panel. That's to critique, and possibly sign 20 of
the best 'hand picked' bands from around the country. The Showcase has since
become one of the most talked about events in North America. This will be their
7th successful year, and if you think it couldn't get any bigger, keep reading.
Just like last year, a professional film crew will be shooting the event for a
2008 documentary on the music industry. This film will also make the rounds
throughout the entire entertainment industry. The Rock Solid Pressure Show has
an uncanny knack for discovering the best unsigned bands in the nation and
moving their career forward. The show's track record is spotless, and the annual
Showcase is the extension of the nationally syndicated broadcast. The best of
all Rock/Metal genres will be offered up for the industry in a slam bang weekend
event of heavy duty networking. The Showcase also gives the general public a
peek inside the recording industry, and an actual chance for bands to walk in
from the street and get their music to major players in the industry
unsolicited. The public will also hear from the panelists about the inner
workings of the music industry.
The radio show is also known for featuring the best A-List superstar guests.
J-Rock and Patty The Radio Girl are continually making rock/metal history with
their broadcast. They feature the best signed, and unsigned bands every Monday
night. The duo can also be seen hosting national concert events and festivals
all over the state of Florida, and their name is a staple on the music scene
worldwide. Although it was not talked about much in the press, Rock Solid
Pressure was instrumental in organizing THE NIGHTMARE METAL FEST, and the team
are also busy putting together THE SUMMER SOLSTICE FESTIVAL which will feature
over 20 national acts on 4 giant stages. The Summer Solstice Event is planned
for June 22nd 2009. Also in the works is another franchise event for unsigned
bands, the long overdue 'PRESSURE-FEST' which will debut in December.
J-Rock and Patty have been in the music scene individually for over 20 years.
J-Rock is a well known Jersey touring musician who has toured with some of the
biggest bands in the world. His 8 albums have charted internationally, and he
has a new music project 'LavaFish' on the horizon. He's also a well known former
rock journalist, and presently is an A&R consultant for many record labels.
Patty was a corporate radio host from Connecticut, and an entertainment
superstar in Greece. When the pair teamed up as the broadcast duo for 'Rock
Solid Pressure', an enigma was born and they literally revolutionized radio with
their fun, interactive show, which broadcasts from a Dungeon no less. Corporate
sponsors work hand in hand with indie sponsors of the broadcast. Nothing like
this has ever happened in a corporate America world. The Rock Solid Pressure
Show is now being sold to FM markets around the country who are fed up with
corporate domination and the 'same old' revolving playlist and payola schemes.
The guests come in droves, but the show is not anti-corporate. J-Rock and Patty
just hit on a happy medium to bridge the gap between the underground and the

J-Rock works extensively with Major/Indie labels. He's known as a guy with
'golden ears' and he's a prime go-to guy for a ton of A&R reps around the globe.
His method is finding the alternative to the pop sensations being bred on
reality music TV and shattering that concept. J-Rock understands the other side
of a rapidly recovering marketable industry that was damaged by these music
reality shows. The Rock Solid Pressure Radio Competitions, which kick off on the
first of January every year, deal with 'real' screened bands who are ready for
the next level. What the public and the industry see's at the Showcase every
year are the winners of these competitions. Awards will also be given out to the
Grand Prize Winners on stage at this years gala.
